Meet your Host

Phil Swan, the founder of our company, envisioned retiring to a tropical island where he could devote his time to SCUBA diving. This vision was shaped by personal loss, driving him to leave his corporate career at United Airlines to pursue his passion for creating an exceptional vacation and dive resort.

With a diverse background—including his upbringing in Ohio, service as an army officer, and professional experience across the United States and abroad—Phil brought extensive expertise to this endeavor. After early retirement from Continental/United Airlines, he leveraged his knowledge in property management, construction, financial services, mortgages, real estate, and insurance to establish a resort that caters to military families, travel industry professionals, and those seeking a serene escape.

Having grown up in a construction-focused family, Phil personally designed the initial plans that culminated in the creation of Villa de Cisnes. Today, the resort features a sophisticated rooftop pool, a stylish outdoor bar, and thoughtfully curated sun and shade areas. Guests can indulge in stunning beachfront views, world-class SCUBA diving, and a diverse array of island experiences, making Villa de Cisnes a premier destination for relaxation and adventure.

If you are seeking a relaxing getaway, with beautiful views this is the place! Just steps to the beach, water taxi ride to West Bay, excursions that include holding a sloth and monkey, dive spots, great dining suggestions and more! Phil and his team, Mike and Terry were attentive and made our stay comfortable and memorable! Highly recommended!

My family just got back home from staying at Villas De Cisnes. We had a wonderful time staying at these condos. Our host Phil Swan was the best! He coordinated our tours and our water and road taxis. We used Big John water taxis and Jungle Mike for our ride on the road. The pool on the roof was refreshing and the view from the pool of the ocean was spectacular! Terry checked on us every morning. He exchanged our used towels, water, trash and moved our luggage when we arrived and left. Mike and Terry were awesome! Mike stopped by the grocery store after the airport several times, as my family arrived on different days. He even stopped by places to eat on our way to multiple tours. Phil was wonderful and I encourage anyone going to Roatan to stay at Villas De Cisnes. You will have a wonderful time and enjoy everything that Phil has to offer. A fabulous stay at Villas de Cisnes for our rowdy group of 19!! Our host, Phil, ensured we were always well cared for & arranged several fun opportunities during our week long stay. Terry took great care of us in the house and Mike safely transported us everywhere! He even took us to get fresh mangoes, right off the trees! We had an awesome time at Villas de Cisnes - Villas of Swans - Roatan, Honduras , we needed more days. Phil Swan was an awesome host and extremely knowledgeable about the island, and its history. The room was perfect, the pool on the rooftop, and we watched the stars and sunset. The Villa is a few steps away from the beach. Who can ask for any more! You can walk or catch a water taxi for $ 5 All the locals know Phil, everyone was great. We did karaoke and music trivia, and they have local bands play during the week. The restaurants that he recommended were on point. The tour to see the rescue animals. Loved it! We explored West End and West Bay, Did massages on the beach. ! The beaches were so pretty. Can't wait to return!

Where do I even start?? Phil Swan is a absolutely wonderful person. He is the best host not to mention very generous , kind and funny. His place is wonderful we won’t stay anywhere else that is for sure! He knows all the great spots and is quite popular on the island. My favorite of his place was his amazing rooftop infinity pool. The rooms are very nice with great balconies. We had a studio which had a full refrigerator plus stove and gas top grill. I highly recommend this place Phil is the best so happy I got to meet him and know we will be back.

I had a wonderful time on Turtle Beach (next to West Bay) at Villa de Cisnes. The accommodations were excellent! I fully enjoyed having a full fridge and a small kitchen. I can make my own food plus go out to eat. Usually for dinner. There is a great restaurant and bar just up the beach. The beach was peaceful and only a ten to fifteen minute walk to the West Bay Beach. I loved being away from the crowded beach. Also if one didn’t want to walk Phil can order a water taxi or one can be flagged down on the beach. Phil and staff were incredible! I would definitely stay here again.
